About Us

The Heidelberg Graduate School for Physics (HGSFP) is the school for all doctoral students of physics and astronomy in Heidelberg.

Our Graduate School was founded in 2007, with the start of the Excellence Initiative of the German Federal and State Governments, and is now the de facto school for all doctoral students in physics and astronomy at Heidelberg University.

It is our mission to provide our students with a stimulating research environment, where learning at the frontier of research takes place.
